Hi there, I’m Raina!
I’m a senior Musical Theatre major graduating with my BFA from Ithaca College this spring. I grew up in Orlando watching theatre since early childhood and performing since I was 9 years old. I'm passionate about storytelling through music, digging into a character, and connecting with an audience.
I fell in love with Shakespeare at 16, when I played Juliet in Romeo & Juliet. I was a finalist in the 2022 ESU National Shakespeare Competition for that role, and am now a huge word nerd: I love getting into the nitty-gritty of a text and figuring out how to bring the words to life onstage. My goal is to read all of Shakespeare’s canon by graduation!
This past spring, I spent a semester abroad in London, which was a truly life-changing experience. I saw over 40 theatre productions, traveled all across Europe, and posed as Willem Dafoe by as many famous landmarks as possible.
When I’m not onstage, I’m usually reading, singing with my guitar, crocheting, or out and about with my camera in hand. I love spending time with my friends and family, getting outside, and finding new places to explore. I’m always curious, always learning, and always looking for the next adventure.
